I love pulled pork.
Few months ago I have tried pulled turkey drumsticks. I have never looked back.
The meat is so tender and amazing. I love it with baked potatoes or on mini pizzas, with wraps or with rice and mexican salad.
It is so easy to prepare and budget friendly.
2 turkey drumsticks with skin removed ( I get them in Kildare Farm Foods in co. Kildare)
1 tbsp of smoked paprika
1/2 tsp of garlic granules
1tsp of dried onion ( I buy it in Polish section in SuperValu in Clane)
1 tsp of pink salt ( normal salt is fine too)
1/2 tsp of sweetener ( I use Stevia base from Aldi)
1/2 tsp of black pepper
1/4 tsp of cayenne pepper
1 tsp of dried parsley
Mix all above dry ingredients together and then rub turkey legs.
Then mix 1 stock cube dissolved in half of cup of hot water with 1/2 cup of passatta.
Place drumsticks in slow cooker, pour mix of water and passatta over meat. Turn slow cooker for 8h on low.
When meat is falling of the bone take it off and shread it. Mix with the sauce. Taste and add more salt/ spices if needed. I usually put it back to slow cooker for another hour.
Very easy to prepare and yummy.
